New Truck Purchase
Posted on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10:22 AM

Washington Township, in its continuing effort to improve its operation and service to its residents,  International single-axle plow truck. As the cost of these trucks and related attachments makes new purchases even more expensive, the Township searched for ways to save money and improve our service. This truck will be equipped with a reversible front-angle snow plow and wing and will be able to better ploe snow next season. The traditional fixed-angle plow can only cast snow to the right  and makes intersections and dead ends difficult to clear properly, using up valuable time and effort. Watch for this new truck this upcoming winter as it is a great addition to the fleet. The total cost with snow fighting accessories was $137,000.00 and was paid out of the General Fund. The equipment is kept on a rotation schedule to help crews with good machines to run and pride in the fleet while keeping costs in check. Another way Washington Township  spends YOUR tax dollars wisely to better serve you.

The eventual answer will be either a costly monitored site or the removal all together. PLEASE tell others that if the practice continues, Washington Township will absolutley risk losing this important service.
